Right now, we’re starting to see madness being normalized at a breakneck pace. We’re seeing people going missing in massive numbers, prices are skryocketing for basic needs, and well…it’s just not looking good.

We’re seeing historic human rights violations, including violations against US citizens. We don’t even know how many people were taken or how many people have died as a result of their time in ICE areas.

Sadly, we’re starting to normalize it. We need to not do that right now. You can start by asking these questions.

#1: Why are the news headlines not criticizing Trump anymore?

Where are all the New York Times op-eds that were so quick to shred into Biden and Kamala? Why aren’t the papers talking about the horrors that these victims are dealing with? Or how it was Native Americans who shuttered Alligator Alcatraz?

Why?

We know why.

They bent the knee.

Stop allowing the media to get away with this. Stop allowing mainstream media to make money off your subscriptions. Vote with your dollars.

#2: What will happen to the economy in 12 months?

I am curious to see what will happen with the world in about a year from now, when the price of everything is sky-high and waves of people lose their housing. It’s untenable. People are getting angry to the point of harassing the rich.

Venture capitalists could buy up the houses. Or, they could end up getting enough pressure to make people realize they’re about to get the pitchforks. What they are doing is not sustainable and it’s not even healthy.

As a society, we need to work on cutting off big business from the stuff they have been taking from us. How we do this doesn’t matter, but it needs to happen.

#3: How do we save knowledge that might get erased?

The Trump administration has already deleted sections of the Constitution off the national site. The evil right is taking banned books and not returning them. Online libraries are being quietly shut down.

Knowledge is power. And power is what they don’t want us to have. So, how do we save knowledge that might become banned for 10, 20, or even 30 years?

It’s simple: get it out of the country and have paper backups here.

#4: Why is it so hard to actually get human companionship?

This is a question we have to ask and answer ourselves: it’s because we make it hard. Moreover, the people who want us to remain divided are encouraging us all to be afraid of our neighbors rather than trust them.

The truth is that our society has started to fall apart as a result of our society encouraging its own people to look at randos with distrust. There is no social net anymore, because we have been trained to remove ourselves from society.

Evil loves division. Take time to reach out to three people every day—some you know, some you don’t. You need to unlearn the isolated lifestyle you’re in right now.

#5: Aside from being online and saying we hate this shit, what can we do?

We all can do something, even if it’s very little. Think about it:

  • Even a child can offer a stranger a hug or offer to share food with a fellow child in need.

  • Those of us who own businesses can hire those who are down and out, in need of a chance to turn their lives around.

  • Every neighbor can warn others when ICE is around—and also use their Ring doorbells to record what they’re doing.

  • Every person can shun those who made this happen.

  • Every person can educate those who may have been misled to understand what they really should vote for.

  • Every person can spread information pamphlets on what to do if ICE detains them or someone they know.

  • Every single person can remind one another that, no, this is not normal.

  • Every single person, whether old or young, can reach out and try to befriend others.

  • And when this fiasco part of history is done, we can all hold those who helped it happen accountable—ideally, by learning what didn’t work to fix it in the past.

There are more of us than there are of them. Period.
