As a person who has been trafficked and dealt with all the fucked up shit that comes with it, the Epstein file case has a very serious, very personal edge to me. It hits close to home, so watching so many men in power cover up these kinds of things hurts on a visceral level.

Most people might agree by now that the Epstein file coverup is being done by a lot of different people in power, but why? If it was a truly a matter of protecting the victims, why are the victims begging for the release? Why aren’t we listening to them?

It definitely feels like it’s not just Trump on the list. And frankly, I’ve been getting the vibe that there’s one political party far more guilty of canoodling on the Lolita Express than the other. Get my drift?

Well, apparently I’m not alone in thinking this.

It’s no secret that the GOP has a pedophilia problem.

I’m not going to mince words. Far more politicians and heavy players on the right-wing have been caught with their pants down than Democratic politicians. It’s become a major talking point when GOP politicians point at leftists and call them “groomers.”

I mean, for fuck’s sake, there is an entire Reddit sub which is all about the “not a drag queen” theme. There are also plenty of online lists compiled of right-wing politicians and figureheads who were arrested for sexual misconduct.

Besides, it’s rather telling that the GOP won’t ban child marriage while Democrats keep trying to ban it. After all, isn’t the GOP supposed to be all about “saving the children?”

There’s now a new term for the theory that the GOP is acting as the Protective Party of Pedophiles.

I first saw this term on a Reddit post, which then linked to this article from Liberal Currents. The term is “pedocon,” which seems to be a portmanteau of “pedophile” and “conservative.”

Pedocon theory is simple: the GOP is a party that acts as a network of pedophiles — to protect pedophiles, to keep them in power, and to further harm the rights of the most vulnerable people in America. And you know what? The evidence is damning.

Think about it. If the GOP really wanted to protect children, wouldn’t they…?

  • Ban child marriage?

  • Not be notorious for getting arrested for victimizing children?

  • Want age-appropriate sex education focused on consent?

  • Want schools to teach warning signs of an abusive relationship to young girls?

  • Want to encourage boys to stop raping girls?

  • Give kids rights to schools, free lunches, and education?

  • Not tear kids from their parents via ICE raids?

  • Vote to release the goddamn stupid Epstein files?!

The truth is that there’s a lot of proof to this. Trump has a mountain of evidence against him when it comes to the pedophilia allegations. It’s very telling, nay, damning, that the entire GOP seems to be dedicated to protecting him and other names on the list.

The GOP has been acting in lockstep to do anything and everything to ensure that the people who hurt those kids on Epstein Island would stay stafe from justice. And worse? They’re doing that while claiming they “care for kids.”

The imagery of modern GOP slogans is also fairly damning.

Did you ever notice how often right-wing politicians and religions involve stripping rights of others to “protect” the very people they exploit? Isn’t it odd, then, that they’re working on making it harder for women to have rights to their own bodies, to press charges against rapists, and other similar rights?

How strange it is, then, that the “anti-pedophile” group keeps encouraging policies that increase teen pregnancy, make it harder for abused children to get help. That image of “father knows best” and the encouragement to “let men lead” isn’t a mistake here.

The truth is, it’s part of the pedocon.

Upholding patriarchy benefits predatory men far more than it benefits women, children, or even halfway decent men. After all, it encourages a culture of silence — letting the worst of the worst get away with crimes. It turns dating into a crapshoot where you can never tell who is a decent man until it’s too late.

But it goes even deeper than just making it hard for women to walk away. The pedocon is actively pushing this rhetoric as a way to train children, particularly young girls, to be comfortable with total subjugation.

It also primes women and children to be victimized. After all, you’re more likely to be sexually assaulted, raped, and abused by someone you know rather than a random person. The pedocon we’re seeing knows this. That’s why they’re trying to make female “helpmeets” such a thing.

The right-wing love (and even worshipping) of patriarchy makes it possible for men to blame women for everything. That includes sexual abuse women and children (boys and girls) experience. It’s a religious excuse to force women to be corralled (and serve) the men who are most likely to be their sexual abusers.

They even have a word for it that’s popular in fundie circles: headship.

As this one quote from Liberal Currents states:

“To paraphrase Hegel, for this kind of predator, the thing about teenagers is that they are just adult enough to be worth desiring, but not adult enough to stand up to you. Fundamentally, children are easier to manipulate. Children are easier to control. Children are easier to groom. Reactionaries believe that women exist to be ruled over by men and bear them children. Of course adult women — and especially educated adult women — will have their own ideas about this state of affairs. But a child you can shape, you can make totally dependent on you, emotionally, socially, financially. What else is “headship” but an argument for pedophilia?”

The truth is that this is a lot like that fable I once hear about a fox who “stole” the henhouse from the farmer by telling the chickens he’d protect the eggs from being eaten. Eventually, the chickens revolted to save the eggs, not realizing that they gave up safety with the farmer in order to let a predator take their lives.

It’s the same energy.

Much like the anthropomorphized chickens in the fables, the “foxes” from FOX News warned them that their children were in trouble. They got them to ignore all the good the government did for them, all the benefits they got…and now, they have the chickens trusting them, they’ll start to dine.

Here’s how the pedocon can be defeated.

The pedocon is trying to establish their own social hierarchy to continue their legacy of sexual abuse. That much is pretty clear. That’s why they are working so hard to hide the files. The antidote to their poison is actually pretty obvious: out them.

The pedocon cannot exist if people know what they did. They cannot exist if they are brought to justice. They cannot rebuild if people know their crimes because they coasted on being the “higher moral” crowd — and that breaks the illusion.

So yeah.

Don’t let up on releasing the Epstein files. It’s our best bet at breaking this con.
